Who we are

We are a team of 2 people. Maria comes from Kiev, Ukraine, and Frank comes from Waregem, Belgium.

Maria fled Kiev with her mother during the first week of the war in February 2022. After a hard and long journey, they arrived in Belgium. They first lived in Meulebeke for a while, before settling permanently in Waregem. It was there that she met Frank.

Frank happened to come into contact with a Ukrainian family through a friend who had taken them in. Heavily touched by their story, he decided to help this family. He set up a private Facebook group (“Waregemnaars voor Oekraïne”), and through this way he helped dozens of Ukrainian families. In his search for other volunteers, he came across the non-profit organizations “Steun Oekraïne” and “Fellowship of Ukraine Belgium”. This has already allowed him to do several collection actions (clothes, food, hygenic products, medicines…), and deliver this to both these non-profit organizations that organizes monthly transports of humanitarian aid to Ukraine.

Our approach

Our Mission
Our mission is to help the most vulnerable people in Ukraine, those who lost everything because of this terrible war, by organizing humanitarian aid transports to Ukraine.

Whether it is just a reassuring conversation, reassurance that they are not alone, or effective giving of goods, we make sure that everyone gets the support that person needs most as quickly as possible.

Our Vision
We want to help Ukrainian people as long as this war takes, by sending them the very necessary humanitarian aid. We want Ukrainian people to know that we are there for them, that we will help them as long as it takes. We want Ukrainian people to know that they are never alone, and they never will be.
